Many of you who know my work will know that I am a major fan of LinkedIn.
Recently I have found a really interesting new platform that has some similarities to LinkedIn (but also some important differences) that I thought you should know about.
It is called beBee and I published my first article on the site about 1 day ago.
There is a useful video about it here.
It seems to be growing rapidly and new features keep being added.
This article from the CEO might be useful if you would like to learn more about the platform.
So, in my very limited experience so far, how have I found it so far? I’m hugely impressed!
Three reasons why:
1- Community engagement- I’ve been so impressed with the comments on my post and the general support it has received. It has been a while since I tried a platform like this which is entirely new to me- and I think it is the best welcome of any social media platform I’ve ever got.
2- Visibility of my post- So far my post has been viewed more than 900 times, which I think is fantastic considering I have just joined. I am following few people and few people are following me.
To achieve this figure I have done some promotion on other platforms but I believe the majority of views is because of the way the platform is set up (and how nice the community is).
I’ve also heard really good things about the SEO of the articles that you post on beBee and with my limited tests, that seems to hold true.
3- Authenticity of the CEO- Not only did the CEO comment on my post (amazing in itself) but after I interacted with him on Twitter he put out a direct tweet about my article. Astounding. Best of all, from comments I have seen this is quite typical- he tries to engage with users as much as he can.
I have since published my second article on the site and am looking forward to seeing the engagement it gets.
